It was Time for Change

A little over a year ago, I published the first version of what I called the General Theory of Hair Loss and Reversativity.

The name was a play on Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity. Einstein has always been one of my personal heroes, so it felt fitting. The purpose of the

theory was pretty simple: I wanted to pull together more than a decade of my own research, observations, discoveries, and personal experience into one general model that could help explain what may be happening during androgenic alopecia, or male pattern baldness — and, just as importantly, how we might theoretically avoid or reverse that progression.

At the root of the General Theory is a much smaller idea that eventually became what I call the Restoration Equation:

H = K × C/R

In plain language:

Productive hair state is proportional to the individual’s pre-bald biological capacity and effective circulation/tissue exchange, and inversely proportional to the restriction imposed by the pathological scalp state.

A lot has happened since I published the original theory. My understanding of scalp state and hair loss has grown exponetially. The Capillus Codex has grown. New concepts have emerged, old ones have been refined, and some things simply needed to be explained better.

So it was time for a change...

Today, the General Theory of Hair Loss and Reversativity — Version 2.0 has been updated, modified, and reformatted around those newer understandings while keeping much of its original foundation intact. It is now publicly available here:
