FAQS about Back to the Barber
Follicle-Reactivator-Spray-2-3D-mockup_edited_edited.png

Back to the Barber - Natty DIY Scalp Repair is a brainchild of AQBS created to reverse his own 10 years plus of severe hair loss (Norwood 7+). The fundamental philosophy of BTTB is- if scalp conditions are met and time considerations are kept, then hair regrowth is the side effect. The weekly regimen uses simple tools combined with natty topical solutions that will work over-time restoring the scalp to pre-MPB conditions. As the scalp transitions from the Alpha Scalp to the Omega Scalp, hair loss will halt and regrowth will happen.

WHAT IS THE
"HEALTHSTETIC" APPROACH TO ANDROGENETIC ALOPECIA?

Health+Aesthetics. Simply put, your internal health is reflected by your external aesthetics. Your overall health is represented by your outward appearance. To cover the external without fixing the internal is not the best course of action... Hair loss is degeneration, not cosmetic.

Answers to Common Questions

Please read below for most common questions. Between FAQS, the blog, my research page, and social media, you have a plethora of information available on Back to the Barber. You can also reach out on the contact form.

The male pattern balding phenomenon is ultimately an immune response recoup led by DHT (Special OPS), against the alien pathogens previous coup against the normal balance (MAFS), saving the man by sacrificing the hair. Halt the root cause. Reverse the Alpha conditions and hair loss is a natural and positive side-effect.

WHO?

Back to the barber is a male hair loss reversal concept line that focuses on repairing the damaged scalp and follicles that will, in turn, automatically induce hair regrowth slowly over time. men from all ages, races, creeds, and phenotypes interested in halting hair loss or restoring what was lost could benefit.

WHY?

consider this. ponder on your ear hair growth. butt hair growth. nose hair. under arm hair growth. you've never actually tried to grow either of them. actually quite the opposite. ever heard of a bald sac hair vitamin? exactly. Yet, despite their less than ideal locations, they strive and grow even more as we age. this gives you a clue on how the environment of the scalp is the key to restoration, not the actual hair.

WHAT?

you can take a look at the following link: research for more information- the general theory of reversativity, the six re's of restoration, and the alpha and omega scalp spectrum theory. in short, I used natty ingredients to create solutions to reverse hair loss- even severe. I researched for years on the causes of hair loss and potential therapeutics and put together what is now known as back to the barber. it's name comes from the nostalgic feeling I got when I think back to how me and my younger brother (RIP) would get our haircuts together, only to be called handsome by our mom afterwards. it also denotes the feeling of just relaxing in the barber seat as its the only place most men would even consider being pampered. There has to be a better word than pampered - but you get my drift...

HOW?

There are five products. follicle reactivator spray, dermis rebuilder salve, growth reinitializer oil, scalp repair paste, and dh-tea inhibitor. The products are used on a simple regimen. Day, night, and a few topical therapeutic exercises using simple tools during the week. they are stacked or applied with tools. You will use a dermaroller, dermastamp, massager, and cupping device. this depends on your severity level however.

WHERE?

applying the scalp repair paste - derma roller stack & perhaps a dermastamp session may need some privacy as anything. The rest is just applying topically and go...out or to sleep.

WHEN?

back to the barber can be used if you have slight receding in the crown, temples, or really everywhere on the scalp. the quicker that you start the repair process, the easier it is to reverse and or halt hair loss. the regimen is specific for the type of severity level you have using a T.R.E.- a "targeted restoration equation" created to individualize somewhat the most impactful therapeutic stack between product solutions, rest recovery and tool use. how long does it take? you can use the TRE calculator to approximate the time it will take you but the factors are so great and this concept is still being perfected. just know, slight receding and new to receding is a cake walk. being norwood 7+ like me over 10 years is closer to a plank walk, but its worth it.

Products

They are made primarily from herbs, natural oils (mostly from in-house pressed) botanicals, and vegetables/fruits. The dermis rebuilder is protein and fat based (therefore it is derived from animal products). 90% of back to the barber solutions can be derived from the very foods that you eat. it is what I had access too and I found to be readily available. I also believe that what the stomach likes the skin loves.

Regimen

Just as you many of you split the body between upper, lower, and legs or push/pull/legs and perhaps add cardio or martial arts to your regimen, back to the barber is based on that same athletic minded principle. Thus, I used the term natty. I understood in the beginning that I had to be organized, consistent, and allow rest and repair days to be effective. scalp conditions must be met and time considerations must be kept.

WHAT IS "THE
GENERAL THEORY
OF REVERSATIVITY"?

Asian teacher writing on chalkboard

All non-scarring balding or receding can be repaired or reversed by recreating the pre-balding environment in the scalp. Androgenetic Alopecia is a symptom of a greater issue that has localized and became acute and chronic in the scalp. The severity level + time it persisted equates to the time it takes to repair. In short, if scalp conditions are met, and time considerations are kept, then hair regowth is a natural side-effect.

THE BIG 3 QUESTIONS

Back to the Barber works with other solutions and products

 STACKING?

Results vary but it works on principals

 TIME?

Back to the Barber is redefining natty restoration

METHOD?

Back to the Barber really works

can it work with other hair loss solutions, pills, topicals, etc..

Absolutely! Natty DIY Scalp repair can only magnify the impact and efficiency of other products. Why? A better scalp yields better hair. A scalp without fibrosis and calcification? A scalp that is being activated weekly? A scalp with balanced PH? A scalp without inflammation? A scalp without severe pathogens and toxins? A scalp without DHT and androgens? A scalp that is fed proteins and fats. A scalp that is loose and tensionless? A scalp overflowing with endorphins and anti-oxidants? Ask yourself, can that help your topical vasodilator or 5ar inhibitor perform better?

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE BEFORE I SEE RESULTS?

The good news is, it will work. Why? Because of two reasons:

1. Follicles are not dead but comatose or disabled.

2. Balding is not a genetic program but a symptom or side-effect like an allergic reaction.

Simply put - wake the follicles back up and give them activity, resources, and nurture. Halt the underlying cause & reverse the after effects such as DHT and fibrosis.

Now the challenging news... depending on your severity level- and how long the problem has persisted (and how dedicated and serious you are), it can take a while. This is not a get hair quick scheme. This product is for receding, thinning, and balding scalps & men who just want to maintain their current hair or hairline (maintenance). However, its more therapeutic in nature, not cosmetic. It's closer to weight training - not cosmetic surgery if that makes sense.

Time considerations have to be kept, but they will be different for each person. A rule of thumb I used for TRE's is 3 months to start the process of reversing a particular visual. Say your hairline is pushed back and no villus hairs visible. That is 3 months before you will see those white hairs pop up on your hairline- then its months and months to grow them to terminal.

WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT THIS METHOD OR PRODUCT?

Back to the Barber was made by reverse engineering mainstream and accepted products that work, research evidence, scholarly journals, + anecdotal information collected amongst various blogs, forums, and groups including my own journey.

What I found in common was- traction (micro-injury) + stimulant (circulation) + DHT inhibition (Androgen management) + Nutrition (minerals-vitamins) + Infection, Irritation, and inflammation (suppression) X (multiplied by) Time considerations and Consistency.

To combat thinning or balding, many used tools such as derma rollers or massagers. Others used pills and synthetics such as consumable DHT inhibitors and topical vasodilators. Some are using natural or holistic solutions. A great deal use nutritional supplementation, vitamins, oxygen therapy, PRP, cleanses and a host of other methods attempting to defeat MAFS or hair fall.

I realized that what worked - actually worked because it was just performing the same above functions but in a different way. I created several theories and methods to take advantage of prior knowledge and products and applied it to my process.

Over time, I removed the fat or dead weight, kept what worked and attempted to improve it, all the while simplifying it down to core principals. I learned how ingredients compound and magnify effects, especially stacking them with tools. I wanted to stay as natty as all possible and allow the natural healing process foremost. This is the Back to the Barber difference and unique positioning. It is a combination of six different remediation paths simplified into:

       Product + Tools + Regimen X Time.

Scalp conditions must be met and maintained while time considerations must be kept to secure gains pretty much sums it up. Read Theories
